Email accessed by hackers and asking money

Hackers have accessed my Email (indrambuk@yahoo,com)and sent messages, on Sunday, to my mail recipients, asking to send 1,500 Pounds (approx) money to UK, stating that I am trapped in the UK and lost money and passport. They also have promised that I would pay it soon after I get back.

Since Monday I am unable to access my email account "indrambuk@yahoo.com"
