ATT UVERSE CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!

I am an ATT&T UVERSE customer and I ordered the VOIP Phone. They didn't deliver it and when I called the Customer Service Agent, they have lost my order!!!
They don't have any information of the order and they tell me that the policy has changed!!
Beats me, I am on hold for last 15 minutes, they tell me that something in the system has screwed up!!

AT&T SUCKS!
Yes, and ATT Uverse service continues to be extremely
bad.....even now in August 2009.
It is so much trouble finding and getting connecting
for cable, internet and phone that I continue with ATT
muttering constantly.
If anyone has a suggestion on who is a decent provider, let me know.
I can't believe such a large company/organization can
continue to be so poor when it comes to their customers.

In the Hoover Alabama area we have been experiencing huge outtages of service, both cable and wifi. The customer service reps have been awful and have provided no useful information. We are told that they cannot find the root of the problem one time it is area trouble the next is the system is being upgaded (they do this on weekends and beginning at 6 p.m on weekdays, why can't they do it over night if it is actually an upgrade). We get no notification that the problem is fixed. When we first got UVerse we had to spend $260 of our own money to get the wifi to work because their techs and their equipment did not work It took my husband hours of phone calls over 3 days to finally get a reluctant credit from the company (at one point he was told that the "supervisors" don't talk to customers. There is a big push to sell Uverse in Alabama right now and all I can say is beware before you invest. Not once will all our complaints has anyone called us back and there is no place to complain on their website. And, trying to get to an actual person takes more patience than I have. They were also not trueful in the amount of rebate we would get for getting two services. Still waiting on that last $100.
My wife ordered U verse for our new house. The soonest time they could come out and install it was in 63days. So I was supposed to get the triple bundle, Phone Internet, and TV...Well after waiting all that time ,....when the guy got there to do the install he said that he had a cancel on the VOIP phone do to system errors. He said he would install the internet and TV but, he would reschedule the phone install for some time in the next 10 days......Still waiting it's been a month. So I call AT&T,...wait 23minutes and finally get someone and they can not even find my account ???? then after I explain all this to him,....he hangs up on me????
Oh Yeah, I have two TV's that are the same,...they both have been working fine until the last download, ...now one of my TV's says it display the signal in HD because my TV does not allow it??? come on,....How is this possible???
I don't have a bill, I Did not sign anything when the install guy was here, and he did not leave any paper work. I don't know my account number or even who to contact about this matter,.....I will try again to talk with these people...
I have bright house cable in Florida, when I heard Uverse would soon be an option here I got excited. I thought for years I was being screwed by the cable company.

Uverse charges for all service calls, bright house did not, Uverse is sooo big the customer looses that small business relationship. With Uverse you are truly a number, many times I received 24 hour response to my service needs by bright house, Uverse 6 days.
Needless to say I am now once again a bright house customer, they were glad to have me back...........sorry bright house!
I live here in Melbourne, Florida and I have had two different Service Techs from BH at my house in a ten day stretch for the same issue(Hum bars)the first tech ran outside and checked the signals at both the tap and side of home and inside, the following tech came in and jerked the cables behind my television set and claimed he fixed the iissue and left. Not 30 minutes after he left the hum bars were back. I called Brighthouse and they had the nerve to send the same tech back 4 days later, this same person representing Brighthouse claimed my Television was bad and I needed to get it fixed...I took that same TV into my bedroom and the TV worked without any problems. Put a different TV out there and the problem came back again. What I would like to know is who is training these techs and where are they getting the information to tell customers there TV is bad without using there test TV to check the line or a meter? I have friends who used to work for brighthouse who have come by since and recommended me calling BHN back and registering a complaint. I did register a complaint and guess what, Brighthouse doesn't care about me! I am really turned off by the worthless cable company in Melbourne, Florida and I am switching to U-Verse as soon as availibility is in my area! From what I hear they are really busy and a few weeks out from getting my friends on..Sounds like Brighthouse might have a real scarey situation on there hands. BHN=Brighthouse networks or BHN=Bad Customer Care and Service in my opinion!
I do not have telephone service due to a storm. I can not reach repair service by e-mail. I have been without a phone for two days. The number is 414-545-5938 at 1469 S. 52nd St. Milwaukee, WI 53214. Pleeeze help.
I am frustated trying to get a service call on telephones.My home phones are all out and do not know when you will get back in service.

I have been getting nothing but the runaround and still the phone doesn't work. I got the U-verse bundle deal because their phone rates were cheaper but I don't see where I am saving money when I constantly have to use my cell phone to call my supposed cheap phone provider!

The service works great, just pray to God that you don't have to deal with their customer service center (if you're lucky enough to get them on the phone during their normal working hours of 1:00 to 1:36 PM EST). The automated phone system is a joke. I hope they've recorded some of my conversations with that automated d-bag that asks me the purpose of my call.
If I had an option other than Comcast, I'd switch in a second.

Actually the people I have talked with have been very nice and helpful. The technicians have also been very helpful, but so far I've had minimal service and five technicians have been out to check on various things. They have replaced the gateway, the dvr and the wires in "the box" and it worked really well for about 3 weeks, although there continued to be dropped signals -- at least it didn't take a technician to get it going again.
Now it's been off all night and they want to come out again. Not this time. I'm cancelling.

We had U Verse installed two days ago and now it does not work. I called ATT to have things returned to the way they were and all the guy in India wanted to do was to disconnect my service to free up bandwidth for someone else and then take his time sending someone out to return things to the status quo.
I am calling my lawyer.
You were lucky you could umderstand the guy in India. I have been without phone service for 4 days. I refuse to talk to people that can't converse with me in intelligible English. I called three times today before I got someone I could understand and she couldn't even get my phone number right after two tries!
I liked UVerse when it worked. But the pixelation and picture freezing was unbearable. The technicians blamed it on weather, my hdmi cable and one technician said it was normal. Normal? For satellite maybe with Dish or Direct. Each time I had a tech come out because Tier 2 would find problems the tech would replace a component and say that would fix the problem. It would not. Finally it got to the point where they disconnected me with out just cause. If anyone is looking to take action against let me know I am in. When getting a new provider found a loose wire on the face plate where the gateway plugged in the wall. Also Cat 5 is spliced and stapled. Why they can't fix the problem I don't know.
Ok, Now I know that I'm not going crazy. I have my cell through AT@T and have had zero problems and great service. The UVerse dept? They are a joke...Unmotivated, dismissive, and seems like they don't give a sh8t...Tried ordering new service, and they couldn't locate my building...in a pretty big suburb of Chicago. I guess the building that I live in does not exist. LOL!! I am looking for another provider who values my business. This is part of the reason the Blockbuster chain is going down the tubes...
In all my 10 years of working in customer service and accessing customer service; i have never ran across any service like that provided of ATT UVERSE. If your service goes down you might as well forget customer service. Everyone it seems that you reach on the customer service line is either rude, short, or just plain out useless. They might as well have automated services 24hrs. Oh need I not forget they always hang up on you; even if they say it was connection failure im convinced its done on purpose. I had a supposed supervisor flat out do so today after he told me he was hanging up."He said in a second im about to hang up on you" Pasha If thats even his real name.

After the system was initially installed, we were not getting service that they promised. We called in to cancel the service. They admitted that the system was not installed properly. And they were sending a sir. tech to redo. That time they also told us they would give us a credit to our account for the time we were having troubles with the system, so don't cancel the service. That's a big lie!! Now they are saying they can't give us any credit because we had the some service during the period.
This is 4th time to tech. support to come out to fix problems in one month. Earlier today I had to wait for a tech. support to come to replace the system. And now I am waiting another one to come to fix the replaced system. They can't do anything right. Don't wanna forget to mention that I spent a few hrs. on the phone talking w/ reps. today.
I have three kids and work 5-6 nights a week. I don't have time for this.
U-verse is not worth for me at all. Now DIRECT TV offers almost same service. Better off to have their service!!
i just terminated uverse. the system was awful and the people were worse. although it appears to cost less than other services, it has been so unreliable there is no net savings. i am trying to return the equipment and even that is a hassle. the contract installer from comcast was no genius, but the install went pretty well thanks to my daughter. one of the other responders noted that their phone was affected by uverse. i do not know why, but mine was too. and the annoying messages to use the internet for service calls are unbelievable. when the system is down, you cannot use the uverse internet. unless you like pain, do something else.
AT&T is the worst service I have ever come across in all of my years in business. They are actively trying to get rid of all of their customers through the customer service department. They have a computer ask you a long set of questions that it can't ever understand. It then connects you with a person after 10 to 20 minutes and they ask you the same questions all over agian. They are smug and irrtating. Their equipment doesn't work as advertised and when the system goes down they won't admit that it was their fault so the user thinks that it's their own computer costing time and money.
These people are evil.
I am sad to have to join this group as up until this point my previous service both technical and customer has been acceptable - not good, but at least acceptable. The representative and managers are not in alignment with sales or service. Non are good communicators - without exception every person we have spoken with has been smug and rude. To the point;We were solicited for U-Verse internet and TV. The salesman advised the promotion involved no hook up fees and the first month free. After that $99.00 a month first year and all the same channels currently on our exisiting cable service. NONE of that was true. When we received the bill for hook up we initially thought just a billing error and when we presented the paperwork this would be corrected. Uh....no...they AGREED the salesmans lied and would not offer ANY consulation. Evil is correct...I will be changing my wireless service in January when my contract is up...additioanally I will be doing something I have never done which is spreading the word via facebook and every other net working service available to me that this company is awful IN EVERY WAY.
